Violinist

A graduate of Saratoga High School, Anson is currently studying for the B.M. degree in Music Composition at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. Before studying at the Peabody Conservatory, he had completed several music composition programs, most notably, the Composition Workshop at San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the Electroacoustic Composition Workshop at Boston University Tanglewood Institute, the Composition Intensive program at Berklee College of Music, and the Summerfest Program at Curtis Institute of Music.

Aside from music programs, Anson had also won various prestigious accolades. His violin solo ‘Metamorphosis and Reincarnation’ was selected to be released on a new album of Petrichor Records in 2021. This violin solo also won the 'First Absolute Prize' award in the Composition Section of the 28th Young Musician International Competition 'Città di Barletta' 2018 in Italy, and the 'Third Prize' award in the Solo Instrument Category of the First International Composers Competition 2020 of The New Symphony, Vienna, Austria. In addition, his string quartet won the 'Second Prize' award in the Category 3 of the World Championship In Composition 2020, Franz Schubert Konservatorium, Vienna, Austria, and it was on the 'Honorable Mention' list of 2019 NextNotes High School Composition Awards as well. Furthermore, his orchestral piece won the 'Third Prize' award in the Orchestra Composition of 2019 International Music Competition, Academia Musica, Vienna, Austria.
